Softball Recap: Dyer County's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dyer County waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Millington Central Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Choctaws, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Molly Woody spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Katie Caldwell, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Rylee Key was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dyer County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Dyer County's record now sits at 31-9. As for Millington Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-16-1.

As of now, neither Dyer County nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
