Southwestern Gets a Boost from Rimbey in 35-33 Defeat

Starting off the list is Southwestern's Blake Rimbey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Rimbey rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.

Southwestern is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Rimbey and Southwestern will host Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least 101 Rushing Yards from Roark Lewis

Roark Lewis continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his seventh-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 101 rushing yards. He rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.

This season, Lewis has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 147.3 rushing yards per game.

Greyson Brewer Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Southwestern had to settle for second even though Greyson Brewer put up the best numbers he has all season. Brewer picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 56 yards.
