Softball Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

Texas School for the Deaf was the 13-12 winner over California School for the Deaf-Riverside when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers fell just short of the Cubs by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.

Evangeline Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Rubinshteyn, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Texas School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Texas School for the Deaf wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 25-0 loss against California School for the Deaf on the 26th. California School for the Deaf-Riverside has also already played their next contest (against Indiana School for the Deaf), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
