Basketball Preview: New Bern Christian Academy vs. Christ Covenant Spartan
New Bern Christian Academy is 7-0 against the Spartan since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, New Bern Christian Academy will get right back to it and host the Christ Covenant Spartan at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. The timing is sure in New Bern Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while the Spartan have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
In what's become a running theme this season, New Bern Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bethel Christian Academy 68-38 at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as New Bern Christian Academy just coasted through the last quarter.
KC Peter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Puchalski, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Christ Covenant had to suffer through a rough 84-44 loss at the hands of the Cyclones. Christ Covenant has struggled against the Cyclones recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
New Bern Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Christ Covenant, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
