Softball Recap: Orchard Park Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and Orchard Park had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans on Friday, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Quakers have posted since May 11, 2024.

Madeline McDermott was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Orchard Park is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 16-5 record.

As of now, neither Orchard Park nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
