Baseball Game Preview: Monroeville Eagles vs. New London Wildcats

Monroeville hasn't had much luck against New London recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Monroeville has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Things were looking good for Monroeville after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Port Clinton by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-3 to South Central. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Monroeville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Monroeville couldn't quite finish off New London in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 17-15. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
