Volleyball Recap: Myrtle Comes Up Short

If Myrtle was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Byhalia on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell just short of the Hatley Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Myrtle took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-9, 24-26, 22-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Myrtle's loss dropped their record down to 8-17-1. As for Hatley, their win bumped their record up to 14-15.

Coming up, Myrtle will be playing at home against Hamilton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hatley, they will welcome Water Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
