Basketball Recap: Lewis Takes a Loss

Lewis was the 37-34 winner over Falls Church when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell 51-47 to the Jaguars on Monday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Lewis lost, don't look at Donnie Goodwin. Despite the final result, she shot 50% from the field to rack up 25 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. Nora Ahmed was another key player, putting up eight points and ten boards.

Lewis' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Falls Church, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-18.

Lewis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Falls Church, they will head out on the road to take on Hayfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
