Mountain View hasn't had much luck against Elk Lake recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Mountain View will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Blue Ridge, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Red Raiders last Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Julia Briechle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, Izzy Hobart was incredible, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Addison Kilmer, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Wyoming Area hit Elk Lake with a four-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Elk Lake fell 8-5 to Wyoming Area.

Elk Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Mountain View, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
