Granada hadn't done well against Springfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bobcats blew past the Longhorns 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Granada never let Springfield on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Camryn Coleman paced Granada's offense, picking up 18 kills. Coleman got some help from Kinsley Williams and her 26 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Granada's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Granada will head out on the road to square off against Stratton at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Springfield, after both having extra time off, they and Walsh will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
