Softball Recap: Alchesay Comes Up Short

Alchesay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-7 to the Miami Vandals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 14-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.

Alchesay's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Miami, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alchesay will welcome Show Low at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Miami, they will host Joseph City at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vandals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
