Baseball Recap: Southwest Legacy Comes Up Short

Southwest Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to the Marion Bulldogs. One positive for the Titans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Southwest Legacy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Macias, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Macias also got a hit, marking his first of the season.

Southwest Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Marion, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Southwest Legacy has already played their next match, a 16-1 win against Highlands on the 28th. As for Marion, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lubbock at 12:00 p.m. Lubbock will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marion surely won't give up without a fight.
