West Chicago waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Wheaton Academy Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

West Chicago never let Wheaton Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Brielle Borner paced West Chicago's offense, picking up 11 kills. Borner were helped by Grace Kuehn and Cassiella Koeune, who contributed nine assists each.

West Chicago's win bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Wheaton Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-13.

Coming up, West Chicago will welcome Elgin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheaton Academy, they will challenge Bishop McNamara at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
