Aquinas entered their tilt with Cotter on Thursday with 17 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 18. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over the Cotter Ramblers. Given the Blugolds' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 23rd in Wisconsin, while the Ramblers are ranked 94th in Minnesota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aquinas was led to victory by Emma Dobbins and Samantha Davis. Dobbins went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points and seven boards, while Davis went 6-for-14 on her way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Dobbins is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 55% in the last five games she's played. Ava Fernholz was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Aquinas pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. As for Cotter, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Aquinas will welcome Assumption at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cotter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-42 defeat against Lourdes on the 15th.
