Basketball Recap: Front Range Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Zach Woo and Haedan Morton

Front Range Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dawson School Mustangs. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Front Range Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Haedan Morton, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, and Zach Woo, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Morton has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times he's played. Jonah Freburg was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Front Range Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Dawson School, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Front Range Christian will challenge Bishop Machebeuf at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Machebeuf knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Front Range Christian likes a good challenge. As for Dawson School, they will face off against Campion Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Campion Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Dawson School has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
