Basketball Recap: Bishop Kelley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Guthrie last Tuesday, Bishop Kelley came back down to earth. The Bishop Kelley Comets lost 54-33 to the Shawnee Wolves on Friday. The Comets have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Bishop Kelley lost, don't look at Anne Blankenship. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Julia Grisaffe, who earned six points.

Bishop Kelley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Shawnee, they moved to 13-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bishop Kelley will head out on the road to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shawnee, they will head out to square off against Guthrie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
