Phoenix won the last time they faced Etna and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Phoenix had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.

Phoenix's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Etna, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7-2.

Coming up, Phoenix will challenge Mazama at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Etna, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Modoc on the 20th.
