Recap: Blue River Valley Vikings vs. Tri Titans
The Blue River Valley Vikings struggled with assists on Friday (the Tri Titans had 16 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Blue River Valley was beaten by Tri 61-26. Blue River Valley has struggled against Tri recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Blue River Valley still got an impressive performance from Maciah Driskill, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Tri's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenley Cornelius, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nakaya Cridge, who scored 12 points along with six blocks.
Blue River Valley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Tri, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Blue River Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Union at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Hopefully Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Tri won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shenandoah on January 6th. Shenandoah is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
