Basketball Recap: Scranton Comes Up Short on the Road Against Sacred Heart

Scranton had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 64-53 to the Sacred Heart Rebels. The game was a 25-25 toss-up at halftime, but the Rockets couldn't quite close it out.

Sacred Heart found their leader in sophomore Joe Sommers, who posted 28 points. Ethan Drilling was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Sacred Heart has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Scranton will take on Oden at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sacred Heart, they will face off against Western Yell County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
