Volleyball Game Preview: Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions vs. Monsignor Pace Spartans

The Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions will face off against the Monsignor Pace Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Tuesday, Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) got the win against Pinecrest Prep by a conclusive 3-0.

While Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-17, 25-19.

Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) found their leader in sophomore Daniel Romero, who had 14 digs and one assist. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Romero. Adrian Picado also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Meanwhile, Monsignor Pace made easy work of Doctors Charter on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Monsignor Pace never let Doctors Charter on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-22.

Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Monsignor Pace, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
