Basketball Recap: Rosman Comes Up Short on the Road Against Nantahala

Rosman had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Nantahala Hawks and fell 87-47. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Rosman lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Braelon Owen, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Derick Friend, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards.

Nantahala now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Rosman will venture away from home to take on Summit Charter at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Nantahala, they will head out to face off against Shining Rock Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
