Sunnyside wins going away against Torres

Recap: Sunnyside Wildcats vs. Torres Toros

The Sunnyside Wildcats won against the Torres Toros last Saturday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Sunnyside was the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over Torres. That 22 points margin sets a new team best for Sunnyside this season.

Sunnyside can attribute much of their success to Cj Jones, who scored 20 points. Tanner Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Sunnyside has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Torres, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunnyside will take on Sanger West at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Sanger West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 968th, while Sunnyside is ranked 244th). As for Torres, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Madera South at 6:30 p.m.
