Soccer Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

Burbank and Santa Ana squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Burbank had to settle for second. They came up short against the Santa Ana Saints, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Saints are ranked 77th).

Burbank has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season. As for Santa Ana, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Burbank does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Ana, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against West Valley on the 15th.
