The Analy Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Novato Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Analy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matches.
Analy gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against St. Vincent de Paul as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Analy got a great performance from Cooper Schulz as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Schulz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hunter Thomas, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Analy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-2 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Donnie Rinkor also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Novato not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over San Rafael.
JP Harmon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Harmon was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI.
In other batting news, Cohen Garcia was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Dominic Scafani, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Novato always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Analy pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Novato, their record now sits at 6-7.
Analy came up short against Novato when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
