The West Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Friday, West fell victim to a rough 9-3 loss at the hands of Powell. West has not had much luck with Powell recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Mason Dugan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of John Whitesell, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Hardin Valley Academy entered their tilt with Galesburg with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Silver Streaks on Saturday.
Colton Denton made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Denton was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Jones is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Sparks, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.
