After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pamlico County, Lejeune was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Southside Seahawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Devilpups in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now won three in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Southside scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Southside lost, don't look at Elanor Davis. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and one assist. Davis has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Lejeune now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Southside, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Coming up, Lejeune will challenge East Carteret at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Southside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
