Volleyball Recap: Del Oro Comes Up Short

Del Oro lost against Folsom back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 3-2 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 29-27, 22-25, 15-12.

Neelagreev Chintaluri was nothing short of spectacular for Folsom: he had five digs and three aces. What's more, Chintaluri racked up 40 assists, the most he's had since back in March. Bhargavram Chintaluri was another key player, getting eight digs and three aces.

Del Oro's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Folsom, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season.

Del Oro will take on Nevada Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Folsom, they will be playing at home against Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
