Soccer Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short

Lawrence County lost against Poplarville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Hornets, falling 7-0. Lawrence County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Poplarville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5-2 record this season.

Lawrence County and Crystal Springs will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poplarville, after both having extra time off, they and Pearl River Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the pitch against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
