The Byrd Yellow Jackets will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Red River Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Byrd is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Thursday just wasn't the day for Byrd's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 11-0 walloping at the hands of Many on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, Byrd's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Red River also failed to score in their most recent game. They suffered a rough 15-0 loss at the hands of Loyola College Prep on Thursday. The shutout was out of character for Red River seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.
Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Red River, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
