Softball Recap: Pullman Comes Up Short

If Pullman was riding high fresh off their 20-10 takedown of Rogers on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds fell just short of the East Valley Knights by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 17-13.

Bailee Randall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Taylor Cromie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pullman's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

While Pullman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
