Lewis Central got themselves on the board against Atlantic on Monday, but Atlantic never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Ayden Buckles's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Lewis Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Atlantic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
