Basketball Recap: Thornwell Triumphs

Thornwell's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ware Shoals Hornets by a score of 71-61. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Hornets back in January, they had to take a 59-47 loss.

Thornwell's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Ware Shoals, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornwell will challenge Calhoun Falls Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ware Shoals, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Whitmire at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ware Shoals is facing Whitmire at the right time seeing as Whitmire is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
