Baseball Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short

Central Valley extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 11-10-1. They lost 15-5 to the Lassen Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

Central Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drason Recio, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As for Lassen, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-12. 15 seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Lassen's side, Gaven Mueller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Lassen is 5-2 when Mueller allows one or fewer earned runs, but 8-10 otherwise. Mueller was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

While Central Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
