Trinity came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Timberlane Owls an 8-0 shutout. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Timberlane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trinity will face off against rival Merrimack at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Timberlane is set to take on their familiar foe Windham at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
