Basketball Recap: Glenwood Titans vs. Springfield Southeast Spartans        
        
		
            
 The Glenwood Titans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy  55-38 win over Springfield Southeast. Given Glenwood's advantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 65th, while the Spartans are ranked 290th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Glenwood's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Alexis Neumann, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 11  rebounds. Neumann hasn't dropped below nine  rebounds for three straight games.  Makenna Yeager was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points along with six  rebounds.
 When it comes to explaining why Springfield Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Marisa Gant. Despite the final result, she  scored 18 points along with three  steals. Gant is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's  now  scored 16 or more in the last four games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chloe Crawford, who  scored eight points.
 Glenwood's win was  their sixth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 21-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Springfield Southeast, they have  not been sharp recently as the team's  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenwood will take on the Lions at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Lanphier and the Titans are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Springfield Southeast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Generals at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
