Softball Recap: Bishop Foley Has No Trouble Against Cabrini

Bishop Foley never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cabrini Monarchs with a sharp 16-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Ventures in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now won six in a row.

Elanor Barnes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sasha Walker was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Grace Anderson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Bishop Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .821. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cabrini only posted an OBP of .182.

Bishop Foley's record is now 7-10. As for Cabrini, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
