Softball Recap: Tornillo Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Tornillo's offense. They came up short against the Alpine Bucks on Friday, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Coyotes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tornillo has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Alpine, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

Tornillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alpine, they will host Kermit at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.81 runs per game on average), something the Bucks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
