Soccer Game Preview: Traverse City Central vs. Gaylord

For the first time this season, Traverse City Central will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gaylord Blue Devils at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Traverse City Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Traverse City Central's offense. They fell 2-0 to Portage Central on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Gaylord was able to grind out a solid win over Harbor Springs on Saturday, taking the game 3-1.

Traverse City Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gaylord, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Traverse City Central skirted past Gaylord 2-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
