Softball Recap: Southern Nash Picks Up 19th Consecutive Win

Southern Nash strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Franklinton Red Rams 18-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 back in March.

SARAH EWERS made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, SAVANNA BAINES was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of NOEL DOBBINS, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs.

Southern Nash kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive matchups.

Southern Nash pushed their record up to 19-0 with the win, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Franklinton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

Franklinton has already played their next contest, a 10-5 win against Northern Nash on the 28th. Hopefully Southern Nash paid attention to the Red Rams' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Red Rams at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th.
