Basketball Recap: Trey Paffenroth Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

Heide Trask lost to Whiteville back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Heide Trask Titans came out on top against the Whiteville Wolfpack by a score of 61-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Heide Trask's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Paffenroth, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Paffenroth has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gio Driggers, who posted seven points and eight boards.

Heide Trask pushed their record up to 9-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Whiteville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Heide Trask has already played their next contest (against West Columbus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Whiteville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-62 loss against South Columbus on the 30th.
