Baseball Recap: Laurel HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Laurel HomeSchool lost against Coastal Mississippi Homeschool last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Laurel HomeSchool Knighthawks came up short against the Coastal Mississippi Homeschool Wildcats, falling 15-3. The Knighthawks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Laurel HomeSchool saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Laurel HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Coastal Mississippi Homeschool, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel HomeSchool will host Hattiesburg HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hattiesburg HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Coastal Mississippi Homeschool, they will welcome Meridian HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on March 22nd. Coastal Mississippi Homeschool also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 10.4 runs per game.
