Baseball Recap: Nitro Comes Up Short

Nitro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winfield Generals. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Generals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nitro's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Winfield, their record now sits at 12-3.

Coming up, Nitro is taking a road trip to take on Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Winfield, they will be playing at home against Point Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
