Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evansville Mater Dei). They blew past the Mt. Vernon Wildcats, posting a 77-13 win. Given Evansville Mater Dei's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Mt. Vernon is ranked 365th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evansville Mater Dei is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Evansville Mater Dei will head out to take on Castle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Castle will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Evansville Mater Dei surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt.
