Mountain Crest had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-6 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-16 win over the West Field Longhorns. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brok Buttars was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Buttars was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Mountain Crest got a massive performance out of Jace Jorgensen, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Jorgensen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Bradford, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
