Volleyball Recap: Ozark Comes Up Short

If Ozark was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Waldron on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hillbillies lost 3-0 to the Morrilton Devil Dogs on Tuesday. The Hillbillies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Devil Dogs earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 25-6.

Sydnie Herriage paced Ozark's offense, picking up five kills. Herriage got some help from Sara Abulawi and her nine assists. Herriage was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ozark's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for Morrilton, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Ozark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Clarksville on the 16th. As for Morrilton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Pottsville on the 16th.
