Basketball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sterling can now relate to. They took a blow against the Middle Township Panthers on Monday, falling 56-25. The Silver Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-5.

Lexi Kuhn was Sterling's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Paris Logan held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Madison Sims took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Leading Middle Township to victory were Sarah Farrow and Reagen Powell. Farrow dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards, while Powell posted 20 points. Farrow has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Toland, who earned seven points and three blocks.

Sterling's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Middle Township, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-5.

As of now, neither Sterling nor Middle Township have any future games scheduled.
