Recap: Northeast Eagles vs. Northwest Vikings
The Northeast Eagles lost against the Northwest Vikings back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Northeast was beaten by Northwest 61-32. Northeast was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.
Despite the loss, Northeast still got an impressive performance from Qimara Summers, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Northeast has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Northwest, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.
Northeast will head out on the road to face off against Dickson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Dickson County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday. As for Northwest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rossview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rossview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northwest in Tennessee (Rossview is ranked 111th, while Northwest is ranked 225th).
