Football Recap: Fort Bend Willowridge Takes a Loss

The matchup between Fort Bend Willowridge and Stafford on Friday hardly resembled the 13-10 effort from their previous meeting. The Eagles took a hard 42-27 fall against the Spartans. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

A big part of Stafford's win came down to the chemistry between Nate Ray and his top target Aiden Seales. Ray threw for 195 yards and five TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes while Seales gained 121 total yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Ray racked up 165.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Fort Bend Willowridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Stafford, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Willowridge will host Almeta Crawford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stafford, they will square off against Navasota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Rattlers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
