Basketball Recap: Odem Comes Up Short

Odem fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Sinton on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 51-47 to the Pirates. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 54-46 to the Pirates when the teams met back in December of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Odem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sinton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Odem and Goliad will face off at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Sinton, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mathis at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
