Basketball Recap: Hume-Fogg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Glencliff last Tuesday, Hume-Fogg came back down to earth. The Hume-Fogg Blue Knights had to suffer through an 82-30 loss at the hands of the Valor College Prep Wildcats. The Blue Knights have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Valor College Prep found their leader in sophomore Kobe Cotton, who dropped a double-double with 38 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Cotton is now averaging an impressive 25.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was London Cotton, who posted 14 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Hume-Fogg now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Valor College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Hume-Fogg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-44 defeat against Maplewood on the 11th. As for Valor College Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 60-17 victory against Glencliff on the 11th.
